Overview
Hotspot Gateway supports fully customizable Captive Portals. There are a number of standard templates featuring different designs and layouts as shown in ‘HOSTSPOT SETTINGS > Portal Templates’, which are suitable for various types of customer’s business verticals. User can simply customize a few images and text messages to create a desired Captive Portal without needing the help of professional web designers.

List of Templates

This is the standard template that supports multiple login methods within one portal, such as Direct Access, Login by Pincode, Login by Email/SMS registration, Login by Email/SMS OTP, Wi-Fi Purchase, and Social Media Login via Facebook, etc.

Similar to Central, this template supports configurable multiple login methods. It features a connect page before the login page, which displays three flashing images before login. In addition, it displays a configurable ADS Bar at the top, and provides links to company info and contact web pages.

Similar to Central, this template supports configurable multiple login methods. It features, right-aligned login option window, with up to 10 sets of background ADS images and texts.

Same as Central, this template supports all login methods. It adds a Member Login Button for login with pre-created accounts and links the rest of the login methods to the Guest Login button.

Same as Central, this template supports all login methods. It displays big banner ADS on Top with 4 sliding images and links. Below the top banner, there is a gallery tab that allows configuring 3 sets of icons and multimedia links.

This template only supports Portal Customizations and Simple Direct Access Login. Display Connect Button after 10 seconds

This template supports all login methods and groups them under Member Login and Guest Login buttons. Member Login includes Pre created Account and Pincode Login. The rest of the log-in options will be put under Guest Login. Guest Login also features PreLogin Password

This template supports all login methods. Features Login by Pincode with User Info Collection.

This template supports all login methods. It allows to upload an external ADS Script, which will be displayed after the 2 top banner images

Similar to Central, this template supports configurable multiple login methods. In addition, it displays a configurable ADS Bar at the bottom left

Similar to Central, this template supports configurable multiple login methods. The special feature of this template is the in-page display of terms and conditions. It also supports a sliding banner at the background

This template has no login flow, it’s only used for portal redirection for welcome messages. It allows customization of the appearance and messages with no Backend settings.
NOTE
A fresh HSG may not come with default portal templates. User can download the Latest Template by clicking on the button , and the version
of the downloaded template will be displayed on the top right corner of the page as shown in Image 1.
Create and Edit Captive Portal
Users can create new Captive Portal from a Template under their assigned Entity by clicking either button from Image 1, or
button from Image 2. All the existing Captive Portals will be listed in ‘HOSTSPOT SETTING > Captive Portals’ as shown in Image 2. User can then customize portal appearance (click on Portal Name) and configure login methods through the backend settings ( click ??button in Quick Action Column).
NOTE
The Portal Name shall be alphanumeric without space, as it will be part of the login portal URL. Special characters will be auto filtered out.

Export/Import Captive Portal
User can Export/Import Captive Portal for backup and restore purposes as shown in Table 1.
NOTE
The exported portal is zipped into one file and encrypted with a user-defined password. User need to remember this password, otherwise, the portal contents cannot be recovered.
Upgrade Portal Templates
When new features are released, user need to upgrade the Portal Template by clicking button as in image 1.
After upgrading the Portal Template, existing portals also need to be updated to use the new features. See Quick Action button above (in Table 1).
